A report by The Ecumenical and Social relation Committee. Radio and Newspaper reporting it!
Rev. de Jong (Stadskanaal,NL) received 84 kilograms of children clothes from Global Call Ministries, to donate to persons who are in real need of them. Therefore Nativity Congregation-La,Accra Ghana, was contacted to receive the items, identify such persons and do the donation.Based on careful consideration, the Nativity Congregation-La identified female head porters at the Tema Lorry station (one of the biggest and oldest bus terminals in Accra) as appropriate persons to receive the donation. This was the choice so as to enable the items reach people who are in real need of them and also, to enable the Congregation to directly donate the items to the appropriate recipients. The items received from her oversees partners to 32 female head porters and their children at the Tema lorry station in Accra. The female head porters expressed their joy and profound gratitude to the Nativity Congregation-La and its partners for fellowshipping with them and looked forward to more of such fellowship in the future.
